Privacy Policy of BioMar A/S (GDPR)
At BioMar, we have the utmost respect for personal data, and protecting them is our top priority. We handle all data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other legislation governing data protection. We appreciate the trust you have shown us by entrusting us with your personal data, and we only use your data for the purposes we have stated, and only with your knowledge. At BioMar, we will also only keep your data on record for the period of time the legislation stipulates is reasonable. After that time, any data we have collected ourselves or been given directly by you, will be deleted. This privacy policy is a detailed description of the type of contact information we collect about our customers, suppliers, other partners and interested parties, of how we handle such data, and how we share them with any third parties.
When do we process personal data?
BioMar A/S, Mylius-Erichsensvej 35, 7330 Brande, Denmark and its subsidiaries OY BioMar Ab (Finland), BioMar AB (Sweden), BioMar Sp. z o.o. (Poland) and ООО БиоМар (Russia) process personal data in the following contexts:
- As part of processing sales and procurements.
- When you visit and use our website.
- When we contact you for marketing purposes, including when you fill in customer questionnaires by email or on our website, or you sign up for a newsletter.
- When you attend an event or a trade fair etc. and have been in contact with BioMar prior to, during or after the event.
- Whenever you submit an enquiry to BioMar, for instance when you contact BioMar by email, customer login, social media or similar.

Different types of data will be collected, depending on the particular situation (see the above). All the types of data are stated below:
1. Processing sales and procurements
- Name, company phone number, company address, company email address, job title and customer preferences
The purpose is to to allow us to handle orders submitted by customers or placed with suppliers, and to ensure that we can contact our partners regarding any changes, to provide them the best possible level of service.
2. Visiting our website
- Enquiries sent via our website
- Personal data submitted on our careers page
- Login information when you create a user account for the BioMar apps
The purpose is to allow us to react and respond to any type of enquiries, thus providing the best possible level of online service, and to give customers the option of logging in and using specialised customer apps.
3. Marketing
- Name, company phone number, company address, company email address, job title and customer preferences
- Company or place of employment
- Information regarding consent relating to marketing
- Tracking processes in online marketing campaigns, for instance, if an email was opened and what links the person clicked on, etc.
The purpose is to allow us to adapt our product range and marketing campaigns, and to conduct statistical analyses and the like.
4. Events
- Name, company phone number, company address, company email address, job title, customer preferences and travel interests (if applicable)
- Company or place of employment
- Information regarding attendance at trade fairs or other events
The purpose is to allow us to invite people to our own events and third party events, and to provide follow-up services
5. General enquiries
- Name, company phone number, company address, company email address, job title and customer preferences
The purpose is to allow us to follow up on enquiries.
In addition to the above mentioned purposes, we collect data to ensure our compliance with the applicable legislation, such as the General Data Protection Regulation and local Marketing regulations.
Legal grounds for collecting and processing of personal data
The legal grounds for processing data in connection with the above purposes are as follows:
- We apply the rule of legitimate interests in the General Data Protection Regulation article 6 (1) (f) as basis for processing, as it is in BioMar's legitimate interests to give you and the company you represent the best possible level of service, while also ensuring that we can protect IT systems and company data
- We obtain your consent according to the General Data Protection Regulation article 6 (1) (a) before distributing any electronic marketing material cf. local Marketing regulations. Your consent can at any time be withdrawn.
Storage period
We store your personal data for the period of time we maintain relations with you or the company you represent. We may wish to keep such data for longer where necessary to handle documentation as part of contract fulfilment or legal requirements.
We process these data in compliance with legal requirements, where this is required as part of handling a third party's interests or our interests.
Your rights
According to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights. These rights include:
- The right to access personal data
- The right to rectification of inaccurate or incorrect information
- The right to have data deleted
- The right to limit data processing
- The right of data portability

Amendments
